“I just know I want that throne / It ain’t gotta be the main one, long as don’t nobody livin’ got the same one.”
North Carolina lyricist King Mez releases his first studio album My Everlasting Zeal via Life and Times and DJBooth.net. My Everlasting Zeal; presumably, connoting M.E.Z is a 14-track musical composition with production consisting of J. Cole, Omen, Soundtrakk, Commissioner Gordon and King Mez himself. Also, features vocals from Drey Skonie, Carlitta Durand and others.
King Mez has the most original flow of this generation. The up and coming rapper from the Middle East uniquely controls a tongue split between the south and the north. Mez follows the lyrical tradition of east coast rappers and staccato delivery of southern rappers.
Mez shows range with the radio-friendly track “The Allure” produced by J. Cole and the ghetto fable “The Reign” produced by Mez himself after the jump.
